Sniff. I’ve got a cold again. -curls up-
At the sound if his name again, Ritsu felt a shiver pass down his body and he looked up at senpai again, his cheeks heating up. He wanted to know that Saga wanted to spend time with him but the idea still made him nervous. “Y-yeah, you’re right, I guess. But today it really isn’t that much work.”
Saga just looked at him out of the corner of his eye, and then he went back to his book, a smile tugging at his lips. ”Right. I’m sure it’s nothing you can’t handle. But…” He sighed and put the book down. He’d flipped all the way to page thirty and had no idea what he was supposed to have read. ”Just… don’t be afraid to ask for my help, alright?” He reached over and gently ruffled Ritsu’s hair. ”You know I won’t bite…”
“Yes, I know,” Ritsu blushed profoundly at the gesture and glanced up at his senpai. He was glad that Saga didn’t seem too worried over him, it made him feel better to know that Saga had a little faith in him. He was distracted by the sudden contact and moved his injured wrist as if to grab for something and winced. “Ah, w-well, since you are here, maybe you could help me with some things.”
((ahhhhhh I am probably late answering this but the answer is eventually!))
Ritsu frowned and looked down at his hand, his fingers barely peeked out of the sling. “No, I mean, thank you very much, but I couldn’t bother you much more.”
He would definitely appreciate and need the help his senpai was offering him but it felt too obviously selfish to let him. “I’m sure I could handle myself.”
Saga shook his head. ”It’s fine, Ritsu,” he said, his voice low like always. He shifted his eyes to look at him. ”Wouldn’t want you to fall behind… if you had to stay after to make up a lot of stuff, we wouldn’t be able to see each other, right?” He turned back to his book.

Ritsu drummed his free fingers on the desk and looked down. “I w-would rather spend the rest of the day just being with you, senpai!”“Completely okay,” Ritsu smiled as cheerfully as he could and picked up a different book, this time not one he would read for the fun of it. “Although I still did miss a day and a half of school. I’ll have to work even harder to keep from falling behind… Which won’t be easy considering which hand I hurt.”
He laughed nervously and flipped through the pages with difficulty. “Oh, well. I guess it can’t be helped.”
Saga tilted his head, averting his eyes from the book again. ”Well… I’m always around if you need help. Since I’ve already had the lessons you’re taking right now, anyway…” He turned at that, trying to look casual as he lifted his feet and propped them up on an empty chair on the other side of their table.

Ritsu wasn’t very sure what to say, but his face felt as red as ever, and he looked away. “Oh. Well, I’m sorry I couldn’t contact you. My mother insisted I stay home, even though it’s only a sprain.”
He smiled again, trying to continue the conversation. No matter how long they were with each other, sometimes they hardly talked at all. “I’ll be okay, in a few days hopefully. But I’m really glad to see you.”
Saga’s eyes slid back over to Ritsu as he talked. The usual neutral expression was still there, but it took more effort than usual to keep it there. He wanted to let Ritsu know that he’d been worried. After all, Ritsu was a good student; he never missed school, and when Saga hadn’t met with him at the library the previous day, he’d been tempted to track him down. Not that he knew where he lived.
“…it’s fine. I’m glad you’re okay.”

“I-I didn’t think you would notice my absence for a day,” Ritsu mumbled, closing the book with his hand and looking up at senpai. In truth, all he had thought about while his mother fussed over him was if Saga knew he was not there. But he wondered what the older boy was thinking as he said, “I missed y-you, too.”
He closed his eyes and leaned back against the chair. ”…of course I noticed. It’s not really the same, sitting in here without you now.” It was true they’d only been together for a couple months, but he’d gotten used to Ritsu being there with him, looking so happy as he read or blushing as Saga helped him with homework.

He was slowly becoming used to Saga calling him by his first name on occasion, but it still made his face redden. Ritsu leaned back in his chair and smiled apologetically, using his free hand to open a book and flip through it. It was rather unfortunate that it was his right wrist he had sprained but there was nothing he could do about his carelessness. “Yes, I know. I’m sorry. How was your day yesterday?”
“It was fine.” Saga shrugged, lowering the book a little now that he’d managed to put his expression back in order. ”Had a couple tests that I guess I did okay on.” He turned his eyes to Ritsu. ”…I missed you.”
